With the arrival of more pilgrims, all newcomers could no longer be housed in Whitefield House (NO18), so in 1773 a Single Brothers’ House was built on the new town square. Though the Brothers’ House no longer exists, its slightly later counterpart, the Single Sisters’ House, stands just east of Nazareth Hall (NO20). A three-story limestone structure topped with a simple gable roof, it already shows the waning of the Moravian Baroque style. An unfortunate addition now hides the original north gable end.
