Built as a hotel and saloon and later adapted in 1901 as a Grand Army of the Republic Meeting Hall, this happy round-arched meeting hall is anchored by a jaunty corner tower. It terminates a row of fine late-nineteenth-century wholesaling buildings on its Penn Avenue side, many of them, like this one, now reused for professional offices. The building was acquired by the architects of its restoration for their offices.
