Located on the south side of West Park, the temple's architect was a Mason from Chicago. Schmid produced a neoclassical stone block featuring a prominent portico with four giant Composite columns, a design that was a familiar choice for Masons. Large additions to the rear are lower than the original block and do not compromise the original composition.
