The robustly detailed brick double house at number 24 recalls Frank Furness's large city houses in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse neighborhood. Though Furness usually worked in brick, the rough stone of the house at number 43 complements its massive detailing, at the moment that Richardsonian refinement was about to attract regional attention.
