Ridley Creek State Park is a creation of 1968 that incorporated the vast twentieth-century estate of Walter Jeffords and the remains of various historic farms and mills into open space for the county. The park contains three significant complexes, the Jeffords house (
DE13), the group of buildings operated as the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation (
DE12), and the mill village variously called Bishop's Mills or Sycamore Mills.
