This tiny cottagelike structure recalls Frank Furness's contemporary Undine Barge Club (see PH131) in its crazy-quilt brownstone walls with bright orange pointing and the tough differentiation between the enclosing earth mass of stone for the base and the more delicately detailed and open front. The gable is divided into three separate dormers, each carrying one of the Greek letters of the fraternity. This is reputed to be the first purpose-built fraternity in Pennsylvania and may well be; its roots are in the secret societies of Yale.
