This is one of many fine homes built in the early twentieth century along Court and Pine streets in Elko's earliest residential neighborhood. The two-story brick and wood-frame structure has a large corner turret topped by a conical roof, adding variety to the building's blocklike form. The first story of the tower and house is made of brick; the tower windows on this level have segmental-arched openings emphasized in the brickwork. The second story of the tower is faced with plain wood shingles, the large front-facing gable with more decorative scalloped shingles influenced by the Shingle Style. A large shed-roofed porch supported by square columns shelters the main entrance. The house was built by John R. Bradley, onetime owner of the Commercial Hotel, Bradley Opera House, and various ranches in the area.
