The Tobacco Company was one of the pioneer restaurants in the revived Shockoe Slip area. It occupies a former tobacco warehouse, an impressive three-story brick building that announces entry into the neighborhood. The original slow-burning timber construction, of the type used for mills, can still be seen in the restaurant interior.
