This pair of sturdy brick four-story buildings with cast iron window caps and a heavy cornice lacks its triplet, which unfortunately was demolished in the 1970s to make way for the stumpy two-story building on the corner. Some of the elements of the demolished building were incorporated in the new structure, a gesture which only draws attention to the senselessness of demolishing a good structure and replacing it with a poor example of infill design.
