1884–1885, Edward S. Hammatt. 901 Tremont St.

The easiest answer to the question of style in this building is to revert to the popular term “Victorian.” The French mansard roof is extensive and is supported by brackets. The narrow vertical windows and the gabled dormer have a Queen Anne flavor.
