1910–1912. Southwest corner of Main St. and Scarbro Rd.

Charles T. Jones, the coal operator, banker, business leader, and churchman who commissioned this robust Colonial Revival brick mansion, died a year before its completion. The columns of its monumental Corinthian portico support a ponderous entablature with balustrade above. To the side, a small porch extends to form a porte cochere. The house, still owned by Jones's descendants, is bordered south and west by fields and pastures. Though it stands close to Main Street, the manor is well screened by heavy planting.
