This three-story, seven-bay, buff brick building was handsomely arranged to provide commercial space (including a movie theater) at street level, offices on the second floor, and lodge room on the third. Architecturally, the first floor acts as a podium for the second and third stories, where the five central bays are treated as the facade of a hexastylar Greek Doric temple. Faced in cream-colored terra-cotta, the “temple” has engaged, fluted, three-quarter columns that support a full entablature. The pediment, plastered onto a brick parapet, even has acroteria.
