Zion Episcopal Church, which predates the town it serves, postdates an earlier Episcopal chapel. The body of the rectangular building is Federal in style, with large windows and a small lunette high in the front gable. A charming Victorian-era entrance porch, with Stick Style trim, and a small, square belfry upstage the earlier features. The interior has a balcony lit by windows in the gabled facade, kerosene lamps, and a pressed metal ceiling. Behind the church is the Hedgesville Cemetery, which contains early stones and ironwork.
