1839; c. 1900 additions. Kings Mountain Rd., 0.3 miles south of Beaver Creek Rd.

Beaver Creek is one of the tobacco plantations owned by the extraordinarily wealthy Hairston family. The central portion of the five-bay frame house was constructed in 1839 and the two front-projecting wings were added c. 1900, along with a massive, one-bay central portico. The wings are visually tied to the central block by a one-story porch running behind the portico's double-height paired columns. The tall entablature and the dormers also were probably added c. 1900. A one-story frame building that was the plantation office and a brick kitchen, both mid-nineteenth century, survive.
