An open public passage connects Alamo Plaza to the Riverwalk twenty-seven feet below by means of a series of terraces. These flank a concrete watercourse that runs through the Hyatt Regency Hotel before it enters the San Antonio River. The sound of the waterfalls and the shade of the trees create a calm environment in the heart of the city.
