Built of yellow brick with limestone trim, this Lombard Romanesque tower steps back in stages like a New York City skyscraper, even though Philadelphia lacked the zoning regulations that created that form. The understated rear addition by Bower and Fradley (1966) is among the most successful additions to a skyscraper in the city.
