This is another of the city's beautifully sited school buildings. The low two-story brick building terminates in a slightly projecting wing containing a wide two-story bay. The bay is detailed in limestone, and the same smooth stone is used around the groups of large classroom windows, as well as around the entrances. One enters the building on the east side through a narrow set of doors. Here one is greeted by a narrow interior court containing a fountain and glazed tile walls. The atmosphere of this high, enclosed courtyard comes close to what one experiences in European Expressionist architecture, or here in America in the then-current designs of Barry Byrne or Frank Lloyd Wright.
