An exotic, red brick synagogue with base and trim of rough-faced white stone, Temple Aaron has one octagonal front tower with a pressed metal onion dome and a second, square tower with a pyramidal cap. The central rose window and pediment are flanked by minarets. Round and ogee arches add to the eclectic display. Slightly projecting two-story bays with flattened arches, echoed by the flattened entry arch, add symmetry. Inside one of the oldest synagogues in Colorado are a hand-carved pulpit and a pipe organ said to have been brought west by wagon train.
