1888, John Baptiste Ehmanon, builder. 210 3rd St. (corner of Jerry St.)

John Baptiste Ehmanon, a parishioner and stonemason, used local rough-faced rhyolite to build Castle Rock's first Catholic church, with a rose window and a projecting vestibule. After the parish moved to a larger church in 1966, this one was restored outside and remodeled inside to become a popular restaurant and bar, retaining its 1920s stained glass windows.
