This clubhouse on the bluff overlooking the town was conceived specifically as a meeting place for scout troops. Its rustic vernacular style owes much of its charm to the masonry walls of rounded river rock set in mortar. The flat roof has a crenelated parapet, giving the appearance of a fort. Subsequent additions, including screened porches along the north and east sides, have expanded the original small rectangle.
