John Vauter built the rectangular section of this church first, and then Edward and Benjamin Vauter supervised the addition of the south wing, giving the structure a T shape. English bond was employed below the water table, Flemish bond with glazed headers above. Highquality brickwork is also observable in the rubbed corners, gauged arches, and molded and gauged pedimented doorways. Abandoned after disestablishment, the church was remodeled when services resumed in 1827. The pews were cut down, a two-story pulpit replaced the original three-story one, and the chancel was moved from the east to the north wall. Milton Grigg's restoration attempted to return the interior to its original condition.
