Built as a secondary residence for the large landowner Ralph Wormley IV and later owned by members of the Lee family, Lansdowne is a little known but fine mid-Georgian residence. Constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond with rubbed and gauged bricks, the building has an original two-story portico. Later additions to the rear and the interior have altered it, although the original paneling remains.
