This mock tower, an apparition transplanted from Florence, reaffirmed Denver's aspirations of transporting Old World grandeur to the nouveau-riche Rocky Mountain West and gained national coverage in Architectural Record. Ogee-arched openings grace the travertine sheathing of the first two levels, and six upper brick levels rise to a flared, crenelated parapet of what is still used as a warehouse.
