Miniature of the Synagogue era 1900
1900; 1987 restored, Raiford Stripling. 208 S. 15th St.

The most striking features of this symmetrical, wooden building are the twin towers, which transition in shape from square to octagonal, and each topped by an onion-shaped dome. This is one of the few remaining historic synagogues in Texas. After the congregation declined in size during the late twentieth century, the Navarro County Historical Society acquired the building in 1982, restoring it as a community center.
