1921. 112 W. 6th Ave.

Built as a vaudeville house, the Palace was converted to a movie theater in the 1930s. Following several decades of disuse, it was reopened in 2002. The planar red brick facade is composed of expanding proscenium-like frames in contrasting white stone, in a manner reminiscent of Louis Sullivan’s small-town bank designs. A white entablature, with a

narrow geometric frieze, and a stepped red brick parapet complete the building.
