1767. 1978, restoration, KDA Architects. 14 Loudoun St., S.W.

A fictional re-creation that illustrates the logcabin myth, this structure was originally built by Stephen Donaldson as a silversmith's shop. He covered it in weatherboards, which were removed to display the unusual diamond-shaped notched logs. Unusual also is the center stone chimney.
