The noncommissioned officers' quarters was originally a one-story building constructed of wood frame with beveled siding. In 1902 the second story was added, making the building a one-and-a-half-story, gambrel-roofed house. A small entrance porch is recessed at the corner. In 1907 a one-story, hip-roofed addition was made on one side. There are shingles in the gable, patterned near the peak. The first-story windows, with four-over-four-light sash, are unusually tall.
