City Hall
1901. C St.

The one-story log building that has served as Eagle's city hall since 1901 is typical of the log cabins built in the town and surrounding area. The structure consists of round logs, saddle notched at the corners and chinked with moss and mud. Earth is piled around the foundations for additional warmth. The gable roof is constructed of rafters supporting planks, on which corrugated iron has been placed; sod roofs were probably more typical. A recent addition to the rear is approximately the same dimensions, but taller. Constructed of logs sawn flat on three sides, it is an exceptionally compatible addition.
