PBK's version of “tradition” is more formally assured than most examples of this genre in The Woodlands. Consequently, their design of a second public high school demonstrates the civic presence, dignity, and authority traditional architecture is counted on to deliver. What is sacrificed in this calculation is the opportunity to explore what the architecture of community building in the twenty-first century might be.
