This eight-story building was designed by Kansas City architects BNIM and Lake/Flato of San Antonio as a model of environmentally sustainable practices. The brick- and wood-clad lower floors incorporate recycled building materials. The office and classroom building contains un-air-conditioned as well as air-conditioned interior spaces. All clerical workspaces have access to daylight. The exterior faces of the building's upper floors respond to their differing solar orientation conditions.
