1928, Morris and Noonan. 1617–1619 6th St.

The most ambitious building constructed in Bay City's late 1920s building boom was this three-story hotel, built by a consortium of local businessmen. It is unfortunate that new uses have not been found for the Baytex, which represents a building type—the small-town urban hotel of the 1920s—that does not survive in any neighboring community.
