This gristmill on Toole Creek was built on a late-eighteenth-century mill site. Above its foundation of random ashlar, the ground floor is sheathed in board-and-batten and the two upper floors are weatherboarded, as is the projecting office wing. The mill with an overshot metal wheel and wooden sluice still has most of its wooden gears intact, but was updated to include roller mill machinery. Across the road, the miller's house is a modest three-bay, two-story frame structure now covered with modern siding. On a farm adjacent to the mill, a rare surviving wooden silo, although badly deteriorated, may still be standing.
