Earliest among the town's churches, the building was extended by Dabney, who added a pedimented Doric facade with a recessed porch. His two-stage tower was crowned c. 1970 with a diminutive spire that is out of scale with the church. This is the largest of the churches designed or enlarged by Dabney.
