The earlier part of this large Georgian Revival brick church plant is the fellowship hall. The later sanctuary seems generically “Baptist” with its columned portico surmounted by a steeple. A particularly handsome baptistery painting distinguishes the interior. Executed in 1971 by Dorothy Decher of Parkersburg, it depicts Appalachia in spring, with a stream flowing between rocky banks and with rounded hills in the background.
