These two massive stone-and-log pavilions appear to have grown naturally from their forest surroundings. Each rectangular shelter has a large stone fireplace and stone walls that rise 3 feet above the stone floor to provide a continuous seating ledge. Massive stone supports at the four corners, assisted by log columns in between, support open timber roofs. A stone walkway that connects the two pavilions continues between them to the overlook.
