This substantial Greek Revival brick house is also a survivor of the 1861 burning of Guyandotte. The house is notable for its stepped gable ends and its elaborate sawtooth cornice, consisting of two courses of brick set at 45degree angles to the walls. Similar work is evident in several houses in Barboursville. The building now serves as a public library.
