1820s, attrib. John Weir. 1835 facade and trim, John W. Dunn. 209 E. Foster St. (between Lafayette and Dennis sts.)

As first built, this church was a plain meetinghouse, essentially a brick version of the earlier Old Stone Church nearby, with two tiers of windows and a U-shaped balcony within. In 1835 John Dunn designed and built a front addition that provided a vestibule and an interior stair to the balcony. He embellished his facade with Greek Revival lintels over the entrance and flanking windows and decorated the pediment with a rare bit of folk art, though the significance of its wavelike patterns is uncertain. An octagonal cupola on a square base rises above.
