Now prosaically named the Arden-Nollville Road, this early thoroughfare runs along the crest of Apple Pie Ridge, as delicious an appellation as one could wish. The substantial early structures that were built close to the west side of the road, freeing valuable land for fruit trees, attest to the profits that accrued from prolific orchards. While some orchards remain, housing developments have replaced others in recent years.
