Now home of the Emporia-Greensville Historical Society, the diminutive three-bay former bank has the elaborately articulated facade often used for small-town banks in the early twentieth century. The red brick building is trimmed with buff-colored brick, which accents the openings, the decorative panels on the facade, and the corbeling below the tall false front with a sheet-metal entablature. A crowning pedimented panel announces the building's 1902 date. The sheet metal may have been manufactured by H. T. Klugel (GV10).
