1900–1901, Martin, Hall and Howe/Clarke, Spaulding and Howe. 250 Esten Ave.

It is the square, well-proportioned, campanile-type corner tower of this onetime lace mill which is important here. Above a rusticated brick base, an inset brick panel contains the loading doors, scalloped at the top with corbeled arching to frame three small, round-headed windows. The water tower is screened with paneling containing brick diamond patterns, each centered by a bull's-eye light, and all topped by a flaring, tentlike roof.
