The compelling feature of the two-story half house at number 89 is the abrupt verticality of its gambrel roof, which is repeated in the adjacent tiny one-and-one-half-story, five-bay gambrel at number 95, moved from its original site a few blocks south and dated to c. 1807, but very conservative in style for that time.
