Harford's clapboarded timber-frame post office is as small as the village it serves. The scallop-shingled false front disguises the gable roof sufficiently to set the building apart from the surrounding dwellings and gives it a little monumentality. The building enjoys remarkable integrity, from its postal boxes and board ceiling to its front door latch and window frames. The window near the rear of the north side appears to have once been a doorway.
