This Moderne office building of buff-colored bricks accented by courses of darker ochre-colored bricks has a recessed entrance set in a clipped corner. The entrance door has a plain surround of polished black marble and above it is a small keystone-like date plaque of the same material. A second, newer entrance to the building is in an addition that extended the structure in an L shape to a front on Main Street. The building houses switching equipment serving the telephone lines of three Southwest Virginia counties.
