Prominently situated on the corner of Main and Grayson streets, this two-story buff-colored pressed-brick building expresses a solid and restrained classicism. The building is crowned by a deeply projecting pressed-metal cornice featuring modillions and a wide frieze with the bank's original name. Two-story Doric pilasters with cast-stone capitals and bases define the two principal elevations and the subdued entrance. In 2006 the city purchased the building and it was renovated for classrooms and offices for an arts school.
