1899, Baldwin and Pennington. 158 W. High St.

Baltimore's E. Francis Baldwin was a favorite architect of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and his work is characteristically sober and stately. The Bosler library comes from the coda of his career, when he abandoned Victorian eclecticism for Beaux-Arts classicism. Its memorial window in the style of Edward Burne-Jones is a high point of the interior.
