This Carnegie Library was designed by Edward B. Green Sr. (1855–1950) and his partner, William Sydney Wicks (1854–1919) of Buffalo. The firm designed art museums and university buildings mostly in the neoclassical mode. The Bradford library follows this pattern with an entrance flanked by a pair of Tuscan columns and alternating round-arched windows with medallions on the long E. Corydon Street side. A dentiled cornice and balustrade at the parapet complete the classical ornamentation. The library's entrance is flush with the sidewalk, not set back behind a flight of stairs as is usual, and it has a raised basement with large windows.
