The largest temple in Erie was designed by Cleveland architect George Mayer using variegated tan bricks and corbeling. The sanctuary at the center of the building is sheltered by a dome on a polygonal drum. Cream-colored stonework highlights the drum's cornice, and the surround of the elegant triple entrance on Liberty Street is outlined by alternating cream and brown bricks. The entrance is through a gable-roofed extension. An education-office wing is attached to the west elevation.
