Dr. J. Samuel Sellers, a physician and developer, who came to Weyers Cave in 1896, built this and other houses. The frame T-shaped house is more elaborate in plan and ornamentation than other contemporary houses in the county. The two-story house has a center passage that is crossed by a secondary passage. Entrance to the house is tucked into the angle where the two sections meet. The heavily decorated one-story porch has turned railings, a spindle frieze, pendants, brackets, and decorated posts, and the house's cornice also is enriched with brackets and decorative sawnwork. Originally, the house was painted light olive with dark-green shutters and maroon trim. Eutsler Brothers built several houses on the west side of the railroad.
