1855, 1870. 521–527 N. 5th St.

The right half of this two-story brick town house was built in 1855; in 1870, the original owner duplicated the original house to the right, creating one of Burlington's few row houses. The style of these town houses is late Federal with Italianate features, particularly the low-pitched gable roof crowned by pairs of projecting chimneys. The building's owner, Simeon Russell, who operated a brickyard, continually enlarged the house to the rear.
