1890. 715 College St.

Though the Musser house is large, it conveys an easygoing nonpretentious atmosphere. A wide porch encircles the corner bay tower, which on its third floor becomes a loggia. One immediately is aware of the thin balloon-frame construction of the building because of its surface of horizontal alternating bands of shingles and clapboard. In addition the clapboard bands are articulated by narrow, thin, vertical wood members.
